MBBS Admission Process

Here’s a step-by-step guide to the MBBS admission process:

  1. Check Eligibility:

Academic Qualification: Class 12 in Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with NEET.

Minimum Percentage: Candidates should have attained a minimum of 50% in the intermediate examination.

  1. Choose Medical entrance exam:

National-Level Exam:

NEET (conducted by NTA)

  1. Prepare and Appear for Entrance Exams:
    • Make sure to participate in the examinations at the designated dates and locations
    • Follow the exam guidelines and instructions accordingly.
  1. Await Results:

The results will be published on the specific exam websites.

Be sure to retrieve and store your scorecards or ranking letters after downloading them.

  1. Participate in the Counselling/Admission Process:

Engage in the counselling or admission procedures.

  • Your rank or scores determine your eligibility for counselling or admission stages.
  • Complete forms indicating your desired colleges and courses.
  • Participate in counselling sessions (either online or offline).
  • Seats will be assigned based on merit, preferences, and availability.
  1. Secure MBBS admission 2025:
  • Upon seat allocation, proceed to pay the admission fees to secure your enrollment.
  • Conduct the document verification process at the college to finalize your admission.

Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission Process 2025

  1. NEET-UG 2025 Registration:Candidates must register for and appear in the NEET-UG exam.
  2. DME Tamil Nadu Registration:Eligible candidates must register on the official DME website.
  3. Document Verification:Verification at designated centers.
  4. Merit List Release:DME publishes a state-wise NEET merit list.
  5. Counselling Process:
  • Round 1 Counselling:Choice filling and seat allotment.
  • Round 2 Counselling:For candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1.
  • Mop-up Round:For remaining vacant seats.
  • Stray Vacancy Round:Final round for unfilled seats.
    1. Seat Allotment & Admission:Candidates must report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities.
